Intimate Fall Wedding at the Horticultural Hall in Lake Geneva, WI | Christin + Josh

This past Fall I had the opportunity of documenting an amazing intimate wedding at one of my favorite wedding venues in Lake Geneva ! Christin and Josh’s timeless fall wedding at the Horticultural Hall was a day of absolute wonder. From their emotion filled first touch, to an evening of portrait photos in downtown Lake Geneva, this day was an unforgettable experience from front to back that I cannot WAIT to relive here !

An Emotional Start to Their Wedding Day at the Horticultural Hall

From the very start of the day it was apparent just how special this wedding was going to be. Between the beautiful details, the gorgeous space of Horticultural Hall, and the boundless excitement from Christin, Josh, and their loved ones, you could just feel how important the day was. One of the many benefits of having a wedding at the Horticultural Hall in Lake Geneva is the on-site getting ready space, which Christin was able to use in the company of her friends and family.

Once ready, she and Josh met up for a first touch, one of my favorite alternatives to a first look ! First touches are great as they give you a chance to spend an intimate moment with the love of your life while still keeping the big reveal of seeing one another for the first time at your ceremony intact. I believe this was 100% the right call for Christin and Josh, as this moment was SO beautiful. They chose this time to also read their private vows to one another, and this is where they both began to tear up. It was such an intimate and personal moment that I’m SO glad they were able to share.

Their Stunning Outdoor Wedding Ceremony at Horticultural Hall

Immediately following their first touch was an absolutely gorgeous outdoor wedding ceremony. It’s no secret that I adore the ceremony space of the Horticultural Hall, and its beauty is even more captivating during a fall wedding ! The changing colors of the vines that envelop the building acted as a stunning backdrop for Christin and Josh’s ceremony, and it perfectly complemented their emerald wedding colors. As you might have guessed from the first touch, Christin and Josh’s ceremony was equally emotional ! Josh was especially moved when he saw Christin for the first time, a perfect example of why a first touch is such a wonderful option for any wedding day. Once they were officially newlyweds we took our time with family and wedding party portraits in the lovely outdoor space before it was time for the reception to begin.

An Unforgettable Wedding Day in Lake Geneva

Keeping in line with its already amazing track record, the Horticultural Hall also offers an incredible indoor space for wedding receptions as well ! Christin, Josh, and the guests of their intimate wedding were all able to enjoy themselves and party the night away in this beautiful space. After some heartfelt toasts, delicious food, and some moving first dances, Christin, Josh and I made a quick exit for some newlywed portraits. We headed out into downtown Lake Geneva which gave us SO many different backdrops to work with for their portraits, my favorite of which being our nighttime portraits on the docks of The Riviera looking out over the lake. It was such a romantic and serene setting for these two, and the perfect note to end on as we headed back to the Horticultural Hall for a night of dancing.

Lake Geneva’s Horticultural Hall is an all around fantastic wedding venue, and I’m so glad to have had the chance to document Christin and Josh’s wedding here ! These two are some remarkably special people, and their wedding day was a perfect representation of them.
